Extra carved FH Ayres rocking horse, probably circa 1895-1900

An elegant, fairly early example of an Ayres rocking horse with a lovely expression, gorgeous eyes and pretty face. Unlike many horses of his age, his jaw and ears are in good shape and we would consider him to be in excellent condition, after restoration he will be a superb specimen and a worthy collectable that's fit for use.

Gustav's unusual pommels are both intact, as are his brass rosettes.
